October 2011:
AGTOS and SLF together at the MSV Trade Show, Brno Together with SLF, AGTOS presented solutions for pre-machining and post-machining at this year’s MSV trade show in the Czech Republic (October 3rd through 7th). The trade fair itself as well as the booth shared by the two companies were well-attended. The visitors came from all over Europe. Especially noticeable was the increase in visitors from Eastern Europe.

AGTOS at Surface Russia AGTOS also attended the trade fair Surface Russia in Moscow. In the framework of the joint German stand, we, together with our partner company SLF, spoke with interested parties from Russia and other GUS states from September 27th through 30th.

AGTOS at the METAL Trade Fair in Kielce From the 28th to the 30th of September, 2011 AGTOS participated in the METAL Trade Fair in Kielce (Poland). At the stand, the AGTOS Team informed visitors of the AGTOS catalogue of products. Displayed at the stand was an AGTOS-high-performance turbine along with a robot from FANUC. With the aid of a special camera, the robot can identify work pieces in order to place them on the conveyor system that then feeds them into the AGTOS shot-blasting machine.

AGTOS Celebrates its Tenth Anniversary After the German AGTOSians paid a visit to their Polish colleagues in Konin in 2006, they in turn visited us. On the occasion of the company’s tenth anniversary, our Polish colleagues visited the works in Emsdetten on the morning of Saturday 09/24/2011. In the afternoon we enjoyed different activities together. Thanks to the good weather, we were able to enjoy a football game with two mixed teams, bow and rifle shooting, and an opportunity to relax and talk over coffee and cake. That evening we celebrated a Polish-German Oktoberfest. Here, the band „Teichrebellen“ provided good humour and a good mood to accompany the tasty foods and drinks appropriate to the occasion.

AGTOS-Team runs the relay marathon of Münster For the first time an AGTOS-relay participated at the Münsteraner Marathon in 2011. Thanks to the kind support of Benedikt and Christa Hemker of the Steinfurter Marathon Verein the team reached the 143rd place. Bernd Schmitt enjoys his retirement He was with us (almost) from the beginning, now he is enjoying his well deserved retirement. Our draughtsman Bernd Schmitt celebrated his retirement by offering the AGTOS crew a chicken barbeque and accompanying refreshments. The colleagues presented him with a collection of typical items from his work place and a farewell card which all of them signed. He also received a collection of fine wines from the board of directors as a thank you and to enjoy his retirement even more. August 2011:
Three new trainees Our team of trainees has expanded. Anna Mersmann (industrial engineering technologist), Alexander Renger (mechatronic engineer) and Markus Heckmann (industrial clerk) started their apprenticeship August 1st, 2011 in our company. We are very happy to welcome the new colleagues and wish them good luck! At the moment, AGTOS is training 9 young professionals. In addition to the above mentioned jobs we also offer training to become an industrial mechanic.
July 2011: New AGTOS agency We are happy to announce that since July 1st the Industrievertretung Harald Wolf, hailing from Berlin, is part of the AGTOS team of agencies. This enables us to improve the servicing of our clients and interested parties in the eastern part of Germany. The couple, Ines and Harald Wolf, is in the sales business for machinery engineering and steel construction for many years already. Shot blasting plants by AGTOS add to their portfolio, which includes among others sawing-drilling-lines by Peddinghaus. AGTOS at the GIFA 2011 in Düsseldorf AGTOS presented themselves at the exhibition GIFA in Düsseldorf (28. June - 02. July 2011). The machine that was exhibited, a wire mesh shot blasting plant, was met with great interest and approval by the visitors. The advantage of this type of machine is its huge flexibility. The work pieces can be fed to the machine either manually or by a robotic or handling system. The pieces then are treated from above and from below simultaneously. AGTOS manufactures wire mesh shot blasting plants of various sizes. Especially striking was the massive international feedback.
May 2011 Since 1954 the Atik family from Izmir carries on foundries on several sites. In 2008 it was decided to start up fresh in Aliaga, approx. 60 km north of Izmir. On the new site which is approx. 80.000 m2 in size, a new building has been erected since then on approx. 40.000m2 of paved surface. In a short while approx. 70.000t of cast parts per year are to be produced here. The systems engineering is mainly of German origin, where the cousins Mehmet and Murat Atik have studied. April 2011 We congratulate with all our heart our dear investor and associate Elsbeth Schlick on the award of the Order of Merit of North Rhine-Westphalia. She received the Order for her economic, social and political commitment. Premier Hannelore Kraft recognized the successful expansion of the family business Schlick, which became the market leader, as well as her dedication to the Free Democratic Party (FDP), where she advocates sensible and pragmatic solutions for her village. April 2011 AGTOS and Peddinghaus cooperate globally in the field of sawing/drilling lines in combination with shot blasting plants. This is why Carlos Israel Torres, sales manager for Latin America, together with customers, came to visit our facility in Emsdetten on April 1st, 2011. Our guests were provided with an overview of the solutions that we already delivered for the surface treatment of profiles and metal sheets. February 2011 In Kutno, Poland a new hanger-type blast machine has been put into operation. The machine for the treatment of parts and welded constructions for agricultural machinery has a width of passage of 2000 mm and a height of passage of 3000 mm. After automatically treating the pieces it is possible to manually blast the surfaces that cannot be reached with the turbines in a blast room.
January 2011 Together with SLF (www.slf.eu) we presented our wide range of products at the exhibition STEELFAB in Sharjah, UAE. The AGTOS booth was part of the German pavillon. The locals were especially interested in conservation lines for the treatment of steel constructions and pipes. Other projects include the surface treatment of aluminium through turbine-wheel shot blast machines. January 2011 At the beginning of the new year the Danish AGTOS agency, G.A. Hansen, visited our facility in Emsdetten. There was a lively exchange of ideas concerning the market development in Denmark. Since AGTOS offers a wide variety of products, ranging from spare parts and used machines to new turbine-wheel shot blast machines, the prospects for the new year look quite promising. Of special interest for our visitors were the new developments and enhancements especially in turbine technology. December 2010 2010 offered AGTOS many possibilities to succeed at the international market. In fact, just before the year was over AGTOS received some very interesting orders. For instance, by a Tunisian client who already uses AGTOS shot blast machines and now ordered two more machines for the shot peening of leaf springs (see photo). Further offers were assigned to us by clients from Brazil, Finland and France – to name but a few.
November 2010 On November 24th the employees of de Ploeg (Helmond, NL) met their German AGTOS colleagues. The day together marked the beginning of our collaboration, since, from now on, de Ploeg will represent AGTOS in Belgium, Luxembourg and the Netherlands. The company de Ploeg specialized in sale, modification and service of blast machines and has been at the market for almost 50 years now. This includes the sale of used machines, after modifying and modernizing them. In the future the two companies will closely work together in all of the aforementioned areas. October 2010 During the Euroblech in Hanover (26.-30. October 2010) we were honoured to be visited by the mayor of Emsdetten, Georg Moenikes. He was accompanied by Elmar Leuermann, head of the economics and habitation department. The gentlemen were heartily welcomed by two of our colleagues from Emsdetten, Heike Siemer and Christian Remmes. April 2010 AGTOS supports book project „GRUEN PRODUZIEREN“ The new compendium presents German innovation and market leader in the field of efficiency technology – initiative of the Federal Ministry for Education and Research and of the VDMA – book premiere on the occasion of the “Hannover Messe 2010”. From CO2 reduced power generation, intelligent electric motors to innovative fine dust filter technology: German companies are pioneers in the field of energy efficiency and resource protection. The new compendium „GRUEN PRODUZIEREN“ presents around 100 of these companies. Januar 2010 It was the first time that AGTOS was represented at the most important fair for the metal working industry in the United Arab Emirates. Bedside local visitors also people from Saudi Arabia and India were interested in innovative concepts in the field of surface technology.
Dezember 2009 At the end of the year AGTOS obtains tender to modernize a foundry in the Bosporus. The scope of delivery includes a modern concept for the finishing of castings. After the casting process the work pieces are passing through a cooling section before they will be burred and de-sanded in the AGTOS blast machine. A high-capacity transport system brings the pieces to the manual separation places and finally to the distribution.
June 2009 Mr. Hintzen has been at AGTOS for 4 years. He started his career, as metalworker and now he shall call himself precision mechanic. The management is very pleased about the great mark. After finishing school Mr. Hintzen became part of the service department. He consults users of shot blasting machines regarding spare -and wear parts and how it is possible to increase the machines´performance.
October 2008 Since 2001, founding year, the production area of the plant in Konin has been doubled. Further investments have been made in a sheet high rack warehouse and a sheet metal folding machine. Therefore, it is always possible to respond to the continuously increasing demand by internal means and by job order production.
August 2008 Emsdetten: Florian Teuber is the name of the new colleague at AGTOS. On August 1st, he begins an apprenticeship in order to become industrial clerk . The engineering company in Emsdetten, was founded in 2001. Since then, it has experienced a steady positive development. During a training of several months, Mr Teuber was able to gain first impressions and skills. Afterwards, he wants to begin an apprenticeship at AGTOS. During the next 3 years he will experience the work in the sales, purchasing and accounts departments as well as materials logistics. June 2007 Düsseldorf. The positive mood in the foundry sector was noticeable at the AGTOS-stand. Many visitors were very interested in the presented tumblast machine. This blast machine is equipped with a magnetic air separator, especially for foundry matters. Also blast machines made according to the same principle but equipped with a steel mill, have called the attention of the visitors.
January 2007 Emsdetten. Over its first 5 years, the company was able to create approx. 100 work places. Besides new machines, the company is also very successful in the sale of used machines, service and spare parts for blast machines from different manufactures.
August 2006 Emsdetten: A foundry was equipped with three AGTOS-blast machines (two steel mill tumble blast machines as well as one continuously hanger-type blast machine), one cooling section and a large hanger type system. The assembly was made in the short summer brake and presented a particular challenge.
